![]() They have picnic tables some "you pick" areas & kids "fort" play area. The fruit is beautiful & the perfume from the apples is amazing!! Our car smelled so good inside on our way home! Our friends & neighbors are thrilled with the gifts of apples from our visit to Kiyokawa Family Orchards!! We're planning our trip back there next year!! They also have for sale gourds jams jelly & honey. We bought about 40 lbs of Fuji's & only about 3 lbs of Granny Smiths for apple crisp. The weather was spectacular Monday & we got to the orchard as they opened for the day. We decided to give up on Sunday & come back on Monday morning. Yes even huge buses were parked there!! What an education! I've never heard of many of the varieties of apples or pears that they had displayed for purchase! Fortunately they have staff going up & down the aisles of produce cutting samples of each variety so you can truly know what you're purchasing!! All the staff is so helpful!! They supply carts & wagons so you are able to really stock up. If a farm allows you to bring a wagon (or better yet, they offer them for you to use) TAKE THEM! Apples can get heavy rather quickly.When we got there on Sunday the parking lot & overflow parking lot across the street was almost full.It’s a real bummer to walk out to an orchard and immediately hear, “I have to go potty!” Go to the bathroom before you get started. ![]() Since these are working farms, the ground can be a bit uneven or muddy, and autumn can get a bit chilly anyway. Boots are recommended, or at least close-toed shoes.This is a heads-up for the littles that may go in for a quick bite. Some apples will already be on the ground.Especially if you have younger or differently abled kiddos in tow, it’s best to know how it will work before heading out.
